We all know Betfair, so no introductions are necessary. We may also be aware of the controversies surrounding its name. What we may not know is that it looks like half the world cannot create an account and play. And it is not a matter of local legislation. Betfair is a company like any other. It doesn’t like governmental restrictions and it doesn’t like to pay extravagant amounts in taxes. They are also politically sensitive, so residents of many countries do not have access to its services for reasons that have nothing to do with betting. That’s 40 countries whose residents cannot access Betfair directly! Now, if you count in the French and U.S. Territories like Martinique, Guadeloupe, Midway. Wake, etc… it makes for even more people! To make matters worse, you may be a citizen of a nation not included in the above list and live and work in a country that is. You still do not have access. On the other hand, you may be a citizen of one of these 40 countries and live in a country that is NOT included in the above. Then you are granted proper access.
You may now have lost all hope of getting a Betfair account. As the title says: “Not True!” Why?
