“2021 was an incredible year for me, I achieved my biggest dream as a surfer, which was to become a three-time world champion. It was an untouchable goal for me. I had reached my limit.

I took my vaccine during the vacations and thought that I would be able to prepare myself in time for the first stage of the new season, which starts at one of my favorite peaks in the world, Pipe. The world circuit this year will have ten rounds in the regular season, with a cut after the fifth round in Margaret River (AUS), in which only 22 of the 34 athletes that make up the elite will remain in contention for the world title.
