The fight between Fury and Paul was highly expected by fans, as it would be the youtuber’s first experience against a professional boxer, albeit an inexperienced one. The brother of world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has seven wins on his undefeated cartel in the noble art. Paul, meanwhile, is also undefeated with four professional wins, the last two being over Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley, former Bellator and UFC champions, respectively.
According to information, Tyron Woodley will be Fury’s replacement and will rematch Paul. The two faced each other in August this year, with the youtuber winning on a split decision in a fight surrounded by provocations on both sides.
The former UFC middleweight champion (up to 77 kg) did not take the loss well and started a relentless campaign for a rematch, even accepting to tattoo the phrase “I love Jake Paul” on his hand, but saw his rival close the deal to face Tommy Fury. With the Brit’s injury, however, Woodley is likely to get his long-awaited rematch.
